Compellier is currently seeking a dedicated Bilingual Safety Specialist to promote and manage a safe working environment for all employees. In this role, you will collaborate with various organizational units to ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable health and safety laws. You will be responsible developing and implementing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management or related field and 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety ~OR~
Associates Degree in Safety Management or related field and 4 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety ~OR~
High School Diploma and 6 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety
Nationally recognized Environmental Certification(s) a Plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITION
Climb, crawl, and walk while carrying or operating machinery and tools upstairs, downstairs, and over potentially uneven surfaces.
Lift, pull, push, and carry 80 lbs. of weight intermittently.
Ability to identify safety hazards and communicate effectively with others.
Sustain the stamina to perform manual labor outdoors, exposed to the elements, vibrations, loud noises, offensive smells, dust, dirt, and water in all seasons, including extreme temperatures.
Safely perform work with appropriate safety gear.
Distinguish between different colors.
Bend, squat, twist, and reach in various positions as the situation dictates.
Approximately 80% travel to various work locations in multiple states 4 out of 5 days per week will be spent traveling to/completing site visits.
